Support Debbie (McKenzie) Hoople

Life is certainly precious--and uncertain. This truth has been shockingly proven all too true with the recent accident of a friend. Back in the days of SCF High, Debbie McKenzie was a couple of years younger than me and I knew her through "hellos", sports--the usual. In recent years, we bumped into each other on the playgrounds in our hometown and discovered we each had daughters the same age, and we'd then see each other at Church. This past year, her daughter was in the same classroom as Kdee and needless to say, we had opportunities to spend time together at many events. Sadly, only a few days after school was done for the summer, Debbie and her 3 children were in a horrific car accident where she sustained serious injuries and has been in the ICU at Regions Hospital (St. Paul). Luckily, her children only received minor injuries, but Debbie was thrown from the vehicle. Debbie is a work-from-home mom (she's a Mary Kay consultant), and needless to say, there is a lot for this family to restructure during her hospital stay and long recovery (which she is expected to recover, just with a lot of time). Her husband, Cal, is amazing--as are her children and extended family. As you'd expect, the family is acquiring many medical bills throughout these first weeks, plus the girls will now need to start going to daycare. To help with these unexpected costs, Cal's sisters will be doing a "fundraiser" by selling Debbie's Mary Kay inventory. You can either come to the event (as outlined below) or order online at: www.marykay.com/debhoople. Please share this information with anyone you know who uses Mary Kay or enjoys make up! Never before has buying girly stuff been so honorable or good, so enjoy shopping and know it is greatly appreciated by her family. (Don't forget about presents for others!!!)

You can learn more about Debbie's condition at: www.caringbridge.org (sign in: debbiehoople1)
Here's more info on the "fundraiser":
As most of you know Debbie is a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and currently going to be a Mary Kay Sales Director. Unfortunately Debbie has a lot of Mary Kay product at her house that needs to be sold. So to help her and her family out there will be an open house at Cal and Debbie's on Friday July 7th (4 pm -7 pm), Saturday July 8th (10 am - 6 pm), Sunday July 9th (1 pm - 4 pm) and by appointment to sell her existing Mary Kay inventory. All proceeds will be going towards Debbie's business and medical bills. Please contact Danea Hamholm at (715) 563-2315 if you have any questions or concerns, or are unable to attend but would like to order. Orders can also be placed by visiting www.marykay.com/debrahoople - This is a great way to help Debbie in her time of need and show her our support and love. Thank you and God bless.
