Where has the time gone?

Seriously! I apologize for the long delay in writing. Work has been to the point of overwhelmingly busy (I've started waking up at 6am with floods of work thoughts, brainstorms, etc.--ick!). Needless to say, writing for pleasure has taken a backseat both at work and at home. It's certainly not the worst problem to have, so I'm just

The RibClan has been enjoying some fun fall days lately. We've done lots of creating leaf piles for jumping in (it took Little B awhile to catch on/feel comfortable with doing such a crazy activity), along with some fun "leaf fights". This time with the kids is always a highlight of the fall. I have great memories from years past, including a moonlight leaf jump with Kdee last year. That was great! So, as you'll see, here are some fun photos from our day outside. Please don't think that we normally dress little B like an 80 year old man on a regular basis...the mismatched colors, blue socks & brown shoes...it's all too much!! Good thing he doesn't know yet...

RibB is still in big time hunting mode--only a month left! He almost had a near heart attack last weekend when he realized that he used his one and only "buck" tag on the doe he got a month ago. Luckily, the DNR was kind enough to replace the tag for him (but it took a few phone calls and lots of nervous anticipation). The boy is now on cloud 9 and is even more pumped to get out hunting this weekend.

The kids & I have been having good quality time together while dad is out hunting. Last weekend we played outside a lot at home and the awesome city playground, got haircuts, ate lunch out, went to Church, etc., etc. RibB came home Sunday afternoon, so we all got time together, too. Little B has been more into cuddles lately, and this quality time has made him even more cuddly with mom...love it!

Kdee had her conferences last week and made us proud with how well she's doing. Her teacher said she is in the top of her class. She has been a lot of fun lately--cracking us up with good jokes and funny one liners. She's also quite the artist, and has been making Halloween decorations like crazy! They are fun to hang up. She also wrote a book last weekend--while sitting outside with me as I worked on my gardens. The book is called "Clastic #1" (obviously part of a series) and was a great tale about super heroes helping a king in the town of Clastic.

My birthday last week was great fun, too. My good friend, Angie, offered to watch the kids for us and we gladly took her up on it. RibB and I went out for my favorite dinner, Indian, and then did some fun shopping. It was a Monday night, so we were both feeling a bit low key and just enjoying an easy evening. Of course, we did squeeze in some DQ ice cream cake before we left the kids & Ang, so that was fun. RibB got me season 1 & 2 of my favorite show, The Office, (amongst other things) and I've been watching it almost moment I can. He just laughs in amazement over my enthusiasm for these gifts.

I promise to give more updates soon...I know I'm missing lots of fun details in this one, but you get the idea of what's all going on with the RibClan....
