Seasonal Stress Disorder

Ok, it's not really that awful, but if you know me, you know I'm get a bit excited for all of the movie awards this time of year...yes, "awards season". Well, the Golden Globes were JUST CANCELLED due to the writer's strike (and actors who, bound by their SAG membership won't/can't cross the picket lines that would have been there). This is not looking good for the Oscars or my annual Oscar party...I've got to admit, my excitement is waning (even when I saw the critic fave, Juno, last night which was great). Blah, blah, blah...

On a fun side note, we got to enjoy our friend's Wii system this past weekend--it rocked! We all did the bowling together, and ribB & I played against each other on the boxing and tennis. I'm surprised at how active you can get with this game system--it was truly a mini workout (of course, maybe it was all of the laughter, too!). It by far surpasses our Atari Flashback system that we got the kids (or maybe it was for us?) for Christmas. I'll post pictures soon...you'll be amazed by "Trudy & Rudy" and their good friend "Gramps"--at 75+, he was also having a blast bowling with us. Such a fun evening (our "post Christmas" get together). Kdee got to see her future husband, Evan, so she enjoyed the night all the more. Of course, I kid!

Keep those fingers crossed that this writer's strike gets resolved and the Oscars proceed as planned 2/24!!!
