light my fire....

After such a long time of no updates, I'm going crazy here with yet another post--all within one week! Woo hoo!
Last night ribB and the kids went to the first home football game here in our new hometown. I was all set to join them...and then I basically collapsed into a deep sleep upon getting home for work. From the sounds of it, they had a super time and when they returned home, I was much more alert and we had fun eating popcorn together (tossing it into the air), cuddling and then easing into bedtime.
Today was a nice and easy Saturday...breakfast out at the local restaurant, time up in the pole shed finding items that seem to remain missing (such as my Semisonic cd...in case someone took it from me, let me know and I'll come get it...ha ha!). ribB worked on getting hunting gear together, little B played with our neighbor boy, Ben, who's 6 months older than him. They are like twins, it's too funny.
I took a 2 1/2 hour walk with Angie--such a sanity saver and fun opportunity to catch up. It's such a blessing to have friends that have known you since you were 4 and still have your back. THANK YOU ANG!
Then, right after I got home, Kdee and I took a 5 mile bike ride together--it was a BLAST! (thanks to ribB who worked on my bike today and corrected some goofy issues with it!) We laughed, talked, made up our own jokes and had fun "training". Kdee said she wants us to train enough so we can ride to Hudson and back. That would be quite a feat, huh? We had so much fun, though, that I know we will bike together lots more before winter comes along.
Tonight, we had a great bonfire...complete with smores. These cool autumn nights are perfect for a little heat and gooey treats. Oh, and maybe a glass of merlot, too. lol!
