Fairy dust...and a gold man...

Ohhh, the joys of dangling, tiny teeth! I don't think you ever out grow that creepy feeling that comes with touching a wiggly tooth, or watching a tooth practically swing in the breeze (when pushed by a child's tongue...oh the fun!). Yesterday, Kdee lost her 5th tooth at school, pulled out as she worked on her daily journal ("I even got some blood on my journal, too!"). I don't believe it was a random outcome that the tooth came out at school, since she got a small, pink (plastic) treasure chest to keep her tooth in. Kids are smart, and when you think about it, it's a much better deal to lose a tooth at school than at home. "Hmmm, mom/dad/brother saying "yippee!" or my whole class and the school nurse with the treasure chest?" It's really not a tough decision! It's always fun to assist the Tooth Fairy in her very important work...and the 5 quarters that were strategically left were snatched up quickly this morning and even carried into the bathroom (that's a tight grip!). Kdee was equally excited that the Tooth Fairy didn't take her plastic treasure chest...I guess what I see as a cheap plastic sqaure is her biggest treasure right now. Amazing, isn't it?

The Oscars are one day closer...I'm getting more and more excited by each passing minute....watch the countdown on www.academyawards.com (woohoo!). I've seen all of the best picture nominations (as well as some other nominees) and this is probably the strongest bunch of movies nominated in a long time. The show could actually have some fireworks as the winners are announced...
